Eternity Marketing Campaign

DESIGN CHALLENGE

Create an advertsing campaign for Eternity, a 2026 romcom exploring love and “forever” through surreal worlds. The campaign should break beyond traditional ads, using bold, unexpected, and interactive ideas that stop people in their tracks.

Design something shareable and conversation-worthy that draws audiences into the film before they even watch it.

“Use this space to share reviews from customers about the products or services offered.”

I started by studying the film’s design references, which draw on a mid-century modern, retro aesthetic. I looked closely at the set design, its conceptual influences, and interviews to better understand the film’s themes and intent.

Movie References

01. RESEARCH

The first step in this project was researching successful viral film campaigns. For example, the horror film Smile gained attention by placing actors with unsettling smiles at live sports events, which quickly spread across social media. This research also informed the film’s core message, setting, and visual design references.

Identifying the target audience helps define the spaces and media they engage with, informing what type of OOH will be most effective.

Adults 25–40 who who enjoy unconventional love stories with a conceptual twist. People who watch indie-leaning films from A24 or thoughtful mainstream dramas.

Secondary audience:

Younger viewers (18–24) who are active on social media and responsive to experiential/viral campaigns.

02.Approach

For example, the film features booths promoting different “Eternity” destinations, encouraging people to choose where to spend forever. These motifs became key visual and conceptual references.

04. Intercative Touch Designer Visual

Responsive RealTime Display

I drew inspiration from Eternity’s props and film sets, focusing on how they could translate into OOH experiences that feel interactive and tactile. The goal was to create moments people can physically engage with, inviting touch and participation.

Psychology Of Choice and Interactivity

This concept brings the film’s metaphorical junction into the real world, transforming everyday spaces into moments of decision. Through installations, design, and physical touch points, audiences are invited to actively choose a path.

03.Design and AI workflow

I began by sketching initial concepts and establishing a workflow: designing in Illustrator → generating AI mockups → refining them in Photoshop. From my internship at Branding Records, I learned that pitch timelines are often tight, with limited time and budget, so efficiency is key. Incorporating AI into the process helped streamline mockup creation and speed up ideation.

I started by designing each destination flyer as its own distinct visual.

Then I photobashed them into a 2D front-facing layout to define the machine’s hierarchy and overall design before creating the final mockup.

Then I bring it to Gemini AI to create the mock up. Make sure to have specific instructions in the prompt. It does take a multiple attempts, tweaking the prompt accordingly.

AI generative images can get the mock up close to what you want, however it can still get details wrong sometimes. Especially with peoples faces. I always bring the generated image into photoshop afterwards for editing.

04.Interactivity

For the interactive piece, I referenced the film’s repetition visual effect. I built on a hand-tracking setup by Blankensmith, customizing it so users can control and recreate the effect in real time with their hands.
