IN SYNC WITH TOMORROW
The "24 Hour Animation Challenge" is an international contest where student teams of five create an animated film in just 24 hours. This year’s prompt focused on the relationship between humans and technology in the age of artificial intelligence. Our team, Move It Move It, chose to illustrate how technology has accompanied us through various stages of life.
This idea brought us to winning 2nd place out of 559 teams. (Yay!! :D)
The cool people that I pulled an all nighter with:
STORYTELLING: TECHNOLOGY HAS ALWAYS BEEN BY OUR SIDE.
Shaping shared experiences, from childhood biking with training wheels to wearing glasses in school, using your first computer at your first job, and capturing a beautiful wedding moment on camera. This story evokes nostalgia, highlighting the milestones technology has helped us navigate.

We prepared shot list, schedule, references and allocated roles prior to the competition. We were also expecting inevitable changes and unpredictable challenges.
But preparation always helps!
1. PREPERATION
2. CONCEPT
We spent a considerable amount of time brainstorming together, aiming to create a chronological storyline that reflects shared human experiences.
This process consist of lots of sticky notes on Miro board and sketching out thumbnails.
3. DESIGN AND ANIMATION
(SURVIVAL MODE) ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ
Everyone contributed in various ways and helped each other out—it's all about collaboration.
Secret Tip: pizza breaks, power naps, matcha, and snacks definitely helped.
