Brand Mission

I began by researching the mission of Glazer Children’s Museum, understanding its commitment to fostering engaging, impactful play experiences that help children and families learn and thrive. The museum aims to inspire lifelong learners and future leaders.

Target Audience

After researching the target audience, I identified the primary audience as parents of young children and the secondary audience as children ages 2–10. The brand should especially resonate with busy parents seeking playtime opportunities, and families with children who require additional support.

Brand Logo and System

The next step was analyzing how the current logo is used, identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the existing brand to better understand opportunities for modernization.

Research

Process

I explored multiple logo variations, beginning with sketches inspired by children’s toys such as building blocks, bead mazes, and puzzles. From there, I narrowed the concepts down to two strong directions and developed further iterations, experimenting with typography to create a conceptually clever and engaging mark.

Final

For the final logo, I developed a flexible system with multiple variations to ensure versatility across brand applications. This included a full-color version, black-and-white options, horizontal and vertical lockups, and a favicon.
